Program Overview
ASN’s Syringe Service Program is a community-based approach that saves lives, connects people who use drugs to care, and reduces the impact of drug use on the community. A range of services are offered at our SSP locations, including:
- Access to and disposal of syringes
- Narcan and overdose prevention education
- Access to sterile injecting supplies and other drug use equipment
- Substance use disorder treatment (Suboxone)
- Testing and linkage to care for HIV and Hep C
- Wound care and basic medical services
Through its harm reduction practices, SSPs have been scientifically proven to decrease the amount of used syringes in the community, the spread of infectious diseases like HIV and Hep C, and death from drug overdose. All are welcome. Services are non-judgmental, low-barrier and discrete. Check out our Mobile Outreach Van schedule for times and locations.
