PrEP is a once-daily pill for HIV-negative adults that is safe and up to 99% effective at preventing the spread of HIV.

PrEP stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis. The word “prophylaxis” means “to prevent or control the spread of an infection or disease”. In other words, Pre (before), Exposure (coming into contact with HIV), Prophylaxis (treatment to prevent an infection from happening).

Through a partner telemedicine platform, Mistr, residents 18 years or older of any of the three counties can access a prescription for PrEP medications. All paperwork, doctor consults, and lab work can be completed from the comfort of home. Mediations are conveniently & discretely delivered.

All of Mistr services are free, and most pay nothing out of pocket for the medications. For uninsured clients, Mistr will enroll you in a patient assistance program to cover any costs.
